Bears wrap-up competition against loaded field

NASHVILLE – The Mercer women's golf team finished another tough tournament Sunday, placing 13^th of 15 teams at Vanderbilt's Mason Rudolph Invitational at Vanderbilt Legends North Course.

Laila Hrindova, Lauren Lightfritz and Payton Schanen led the Bears during the tournament – all shooting within two shots of each other. Lightfritz paced the squad on the final day, shooting a one-under-par 71 after parring 15 holes on the day.

Houston, host Vanderbilt and Clemson finished at the top of the tournament, respectively. UCF's Tunrada Piddon won the individual title after shooting six-under for the weekend.

Mercer will hit the road once again this weekend to take part in the Johnie Imes Invitational hosted by Missouri at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia.
