A double-overtime goal puts Bears ahead of Bulldogs
MACON, Ga.  – Abigail Zoeller knocked in two penalty-kick goals and the Bears claimed a double-overtime victory, 2-1, over Gardner-Webb Friday night at Betts Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs (0-4-1) scored early in the game to go up 1-0 over Mercer, but the Bears would retaliate on a penalty kick from Abigail Zoeller in the 51st minute. It would be Zoeller with another penalty kick in the 108th minute to give the Bears the double over-time win.

Abigail Zoeller led the Bears with seven shots on goal, followed by Amaya Evans and Nicole Icen with three. Zoeller recorded her first two goals on the season in tonight's game and still leads the team with four assists and eight points.
