Men's Basketball Saturday Game Canceled

The Bears will turn their attention to Kennesaw State
MACON, Ga. – Mercer University athletic officials announced this afternoon that the men's basketball contest scheduled for Saturday against Georgia Southwestern State has been canceled.
Tonight's game for Georgia Southwestern State at Jacksonville State, slated for 6 p.m., was also canceled.
Fans who purchased single-game tickets to the contest will have their ticket(s) honored for any remaining game in Hawkins Arena. Fans who purchased a toy to support the Merrie Christmas Project can bring the toy to Mercer's nationally televised game on Dec. 29 (vs. Wofford) and receive a free ticket.
The Bears will turn their attention to the Kennesaw State Owls. Mercer will travel up I-75 for Tuesday afternoon's game inside the KSU Convocation Center. Mercer is currently 6-1 and looking to return to the win column after an 88-81 setback at Georgia State on Wednesday night.
Ross Cummings, who is 32 points away from 1,000 for his career, leads Mercer with an average of 15.4 points per game. Neftali Alvarez, the SoCon's leader in assists per game (6.3), is also scoring in double figures at 13.4 points per contest. Three others – Felipe Haase (12.9 points, 10.4 rebounds), Leon Ayers III (12.9 points) and Maciej Bender (11.0 points) also averaging double figures.
Mercer's game at KSU on Tuesday can be seen on ESPN+ and also heard live on the Mercer Sports Network – 100.9 The Creek and Sports Mic.
