Saturday's game will be the 118th all-time meeting between Mercer and Samford. Mercer leads the all-time series 68-49. The Bulldogs won the first meeting between the two teams earlier this season in Birmingham, 69-49.

Samford enters today's game as the hottest team in the SoCon. The Bulldogs have won six straight games, their longest winning streak of the season.
The Bulldogs haven't been as good on the road as they are at home this season as they are just 6-8 away from Birmingham.
In conference play, Samford ranks fourth in the SoCon in scoring at 79.1 points per game. Defensively, the Bulldogs are allowing 73.9 points per game in conference play which is third best in the conference.
Samford's Jadin Booth is the SoCon's leading scorer at 20.7 points per game. He has scored in double figures in all but three games. Booth is shooting 42.6 percent from three and leads the country in three-pointers made per game at 4.0. Forward Dylan Faulkner is second on the team in scoring at 17.2 points per game and is fourth in the SoCon in rebounding at 8.3 rebounds per game.
