Mercer Eyeing the Prize in SoCon Mascot Challenge

Bears fans can vote for Toby once every 12 hours through March 8
MACON, Ga. – In advance of the 2020 Southern Conference basketball tournament, Ingles has announced the SoCon Mascot Challenge which will run until the conclusion of the men's semifinals on March 8.
Bears fans can vote for Toby once every 12 hours on multiple devices and help Mercer win the $2,000 prize.
The $2,000 given to the winner of the mascot challenge is split into two grants of $1,000. Ingles will award the winning school a $1,000 scholarship and $1,000 will be used to make a donation to Hoops Against Hunger on behalf of the winning school. Â
The winner of the challenge will be announced at the men's championship game of this year's Ingles Southern Conference Basketball Championship Presented by General Shale. The winner-take-all championship game where the winner receives the SoCon's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament is set for March 9 at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
