Neuman, Lenzen Tabbed Mercer Student-Athletes Of The Week

MACON – Olivia Lenzen smashed the cover off the softball while Jacob Neuman was an impenetrable wall in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the pair of Bears were voted Mercer Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending on March 30.
Lenzen, a junior catcher from Winter Garden, Florida, dominated last weekend against her former team. The Mercer softball team welcomed the Wofford Terriers to Sikes Field and Lenzen dominated against her old teammates. Lenzen hit 5-for-9 (.556) with two home runs, five RBI and four runs scored to lead Mercer to a Southern Conference series win.
Neuman, a freshman goalkeeper for the men's lacrosse team, set a new career high of 15 saves in the Bears' 7-4 win at Queens. Neuman faced 40 shots and only allowed four goals to pick up his third career win. A native of Crofton, Maryland, Neuman has 94 saves across nine appearances. Neuman's 15 saves marked a new career high and surpassed his previous best of 14 saves against Richmond.
Lenzen and the softball team travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee for a three-game SoCon series against the Mocs on April 3-4. Neuman and the men's lacrosse team continue ASUN conference play on Saturday, April 4 against Utah at Five Star Stadium.
