Mercer Cheer Cancels 2020-21 Tryouts

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer University cheerleading team has canceled tryouts for the 2020-21 academic year because of COVID-19.

All information about the tryout can be found by clicking here. Interested participants are encouraged to complete the tryout registration packet and a facilities usage form.

Tryout material will be taught Friday night along with stunt group formation and practice. Upon arrival Saturday Morning, participants will stretch and warm up as a group before the official tryout process begins. Once tryouts have concluded, everyone will be asked to exit the arena while final selections are made. After the team is named, a team meeting will take place and be followed by the first official team practice and lunch.

Tryout applications are due April 17, 2020. Please scan in your application and email to cheer@mercer.edu with the subject (MU Tryouts 20-21 – Last Name, First Name). You will need to bring your tryout payment along with your facilities usage form with you when you sign in on April 24.
