Mercer To Host Cheer & Dance For A Day On October 26

MERCER – Athletics department officials from Mercer University announced Wednesday that the cheerleading and dance teams will host their annual Cheer & Dance For A Day event on October 26 when the football team takes on Southern Conference rival Western Carolina at Five Star Stadium. The clinic is open to athletes ages 5-16.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in Hawkins Arena, and the price of the clinic is $60 per athlete. Only cash or checks will be accepted as part of the registration process, and checks should be made out to Mercer Cheer or Mercer Dance. The clinic will conclude at the end of halftime, and parents are instructed to meet their athletes in the south end zone near the staircase at that time.

Participants in the clinic will receive a t-shirt (only guaranteed if registered on or before October 21), as well as participate in the Bear Walk prior to kickoff. In addition to learning cheers, stunts and dances, the participants will also perform in Saturday's football game, have a dance party with both Toby and Tot and enjoy complimentary pizza following the conclusion of the clinic.
