Mercer To Host Cheer & Dance For A Day On Saturday

MERCER – Athletics department officials from Mercer University announced Thursday that the cheerleading and dance teams will host their annual Cheer & Dance For A Day event when the football team takes on Southern Conference rival Wofford at Five Star Stadium.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. in Heritage Hall which is located on the top floor of Hawkins Arena in the University Center. The price of the clinic is $50 per athlete and checks should be made out to Mercer Cheerleading. The clinic will conclude at the end of halftime, and parents are instructed to meet their athletes in the south end zone near the staircase at that time.

Participants in the clinic will receive a t-shirt, as well as participate in the Bear Walk prior to kickoff. In addition to learning cheers, stunts and dances, the participants will also perform in Saturday's football game, have a dance party with both Toby and Tot and enjoy complimentary pizza following the conclusion of the clinic.
