
Women's Tennis Signs Pair of Standout Players

Both student-athletes will join Mercer for the 2020-21 season
MACON, Ga. – Mercer women's tennis head coach Eric Hayes announced the addition of two signees – France Antenzana Dorado and Kristin Yordanova – both of whom will join the program for the 2020-21 season.
Dorado represented Bolivia in the Junior Federation Cup, and she reached the top ranking among tennis players in the country. Last week, Dorado reached the finals in both singles and doubles play at the J5 La Paz Bolivia ITF event.
Yordanova hails from Bulgaria and was ranked as high as sixth in the Bulgarian women's tennis rankings. The Sofia, Bulgaria native made a run through her country's nationals, advancing to the semifinals in singles play.
In doubles play, she reached the semifinals of the ITF Challenger in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt and the quarterfinals of the Challenger in Bulgaria
Both Dorado and Yordanova will compete for Mercer for the first time during the 2020-21 season.
The Bears' next match for the 2020 spring slate is set for Saturday, March 7. Mercer will welcome in-state rival Georgia State to Macon for a 2 p.m. first serve at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
