The Bears are looking for their fourth win of the season
MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis team will be in action for the first time this week tomorrow afternoon when Georgia State rolls into Macon for a 2:00 p.m. contest.
The Bears were originally scheduled to host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks, but that contest was postponed due to inclement weather in the Middle Georgia Area. A makeup date for that match has not been announced.

Date:Â Saturday, March 7, 2020 | 2:00 p.m. (ET)
Teams:Â Mercer (3-7, 0-0 SoCon) vs. Georgia State (2-8, 0-0 Sunbelt)
Location:Â Macon, Ga. / LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center
Mercer is 3-7 on the year and is looking to stop a two-match skid. Despite two consecutive losses, there have been some bright spots for the Bears. Alara Hollyfield is now 5-4 at No. 2 singles play and is on a four-match winning streak. In doubles action, Hollyfield and partner Anna Sovic are one victory away from being .500 on the year. The same can be said for Maeva Roquebert and Mary Courville. The pair is seeking their fifth doubles victory tomorrow.
Scouting the Panthers
Georgia State is just 2-8 overall and has a busy weekend. The Panthers play three matches in two days with a doubleheader in Atlanta today and a trip to Macon in store on Sunday. Georgia State will host Kennesaw State and NCAA Division II member Clark Atlanta today for its first two contests of the weekend.
Eva Chivu has been a bright spot for the Panthers with a  5-3 record at No. 1, and Andreea Stanescu is 5-3 in the No. 5 flight.
