Mercer finds itself in 18th place after the first 18 holes

OPELIKA, Ala. – The Mercer men's golf team struggled on the opening day of Auburn's Tiger Invitational, ranking 18th out of 20 teams with a 24-over-par as a team on Sunday.

COACH KAYDEN'S TAKE
"The guys struggled as a team today. We had some bad holes to start and specifically struggled on 13 and 15. It was a rough start with some doubles and triples that we were just never able to recover from. We were just a little bit off which resulted in a frustrating day for Mercer. We have to bounce back and put this behind us. We need to come out with a fresh mindset and erase what happened today and move on to tomorrow. You've got to forget about the bad, remember the good and come out and play with confidence."
