MAF Announces First Impressions Challenge

MACON, Ga. – A recruiting visit starts the moment a potential athlete steps out of their car at the University Center. The Mercer Athletic Foundation (MAF) is thrilled to announce the "First Impressions" challenge to completely transform the areas a recruit and their family see as they walk inside the Athletic Department offices to meet with their future coach.

The project will include:

The Champions Garden – transforming outdoor green space into a talking point and meeting place for coaching staffs and families.
Athletic Department Lobby and Hallway Redesign – powerful graphics, cutting edge trophy displays and updated lighting will rebrand common spaces used by every athletic program.
Digital Hall of Fame/Archives – 44-inch interactive touchscreen kiosk to highlight the storied history of Mercer Athletics.

"Our goal is to shine a light on the academic and athletic achievements, as well as the atmosphere, that sets Mercer University apart from the rest", said Deputy Athletic Director Brian Gerrity. The goal for the campaign is $125,000 and every dollar raised will go towards the athletic office renovations, reshaping the first impression left on Mercer Bears past, present, and future.

The campaign launches today and will conclude on Sunday, November 14^th.
