Mercer set to play Chattanooga on Sunday and Monday

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer Bears look to improve their win streak when they head to Chattanooga to face the Mocs in a pair of SoCon matches on Sunday and Monday. Both matches are set for 4 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the 30^th and 31^st meeting between the Bears and the Mocs. The last meeting was last season. The Bears took the match in straight sets.

SCOUTING THE MOCS
Chattanooga is coming off a 3-0 sweep over the Furman Paladins on Monday. Gylian Finch was the lone Moc to register double-digit kills with 10. She was followed by Maia Rackel and Mikaela Gauthreaux with eight each. Sophia Bossong dished out 24 assists on the match, leading Chattanooga. Freshman Paige Gallentine led with 23 digs, earning her a pot on the Southern Conference Player of the Week squad. The Mocs welcome eight new faces to the team. Travis Filar enters his 10^th season at the helm of Chattanooga.

NOTABLES

Sophomore Jaida Howell set a new career-high 20 kills in the Bears 3-1 win over The Citadel Bulldogs.
Annie Karle still leads the team with 118 kills on the season. She averages 2.74 kills per set.
Jaida Howell and Rayanne de Oliveira lead the Southern Conference in total blocks with 37 each.
Mercer also leads the conference in total kills (511), total service aces (72), and total blocks (84.0).
