Amaya Evans needed just six minutes to put the Bears ahead in Charleston on Sept. 17, but a late equalizer by Logan Dix forced OT where neither team prevailed. In a high-scoring October contest in Macon, The Citadel left Betts Stadium with a  3-2 win. Down 2-0 after just 14 minutes, the Bears battled back with goals from Pace Stephenson (30th minute) and Aliah Kitchens (67th minute). Kitchens netted the equalizer, but a late goal gave the Bulldogs the road win.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Ally Fordham had a stellar opening week of Southern Conference play, scoring both of the Bears' goals in a 2-1 win over Wofford on Sunday. The Orange & Black opened SoCon action with a 1-1 overall record, falling to Furman on Friday before picking up the win over Wofford. SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
The Citadel has played a whopping 13 matches and has a 6-5-2 record with an 0-2-0 league record. After a hot start, the 'Dogs have lost their last three matches. Logan Dix has been a goal scoring machine with a league-leading nine goals, three of which have been game-winners. Her nine scores rank her sixth nationally and third among players from non-Power 5 schools. To go along with her scoring abilities, Dix has also assisted on two goals. In addition to Dix, Ellie Burgess and Maria Contreras have scored on two occasions. Suzuka Yosue has found the back of the net to date but has certainly developed a knack for finding the open person with five assists.
