Bears Get Two Wins, Tie At Georgia Southern Shootout

Statesboro, Ga.,—With two wins already in the books, the Mercer Bears women's tennis team was looking for a clean sweep in the Georgia Southern Shootout Sunday in Statesboro. The Bears didn't accomplish the sweep, but tied with the Eagles, 6-6.

Each team won two of the four doubles matches, and each team took four of the eight singles matches. The Bears went 2-0-1 on the weekend with previous wins over Jacksonville State and Troy. Mercer's next competition will be the Wofford Fall Classic Nov. 11-13.
