
Three Bears Claim All-Conference Honors

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Mercer women's tennis program received three selections to the 2026 postseason All-Southern Conference Teams as announced by the league office Wednesday.
Marina de Diego Quinones, Sofiya Tsitavets were named Second Team All-SoCon in singles and Quinones and Ines Hömberg were named Second Team All-SoCon in doubles.
Quinones played the entire season from the number one spot for the Bears. She finished her senior season with a 7-10 overall record and a 3-4 record in conference matches. One of Quinones' wins in conference play came against ETSU's Ksenija Rage who finished the year 5-2 in conference and was a First Team All-SoCon selection.
In Tsitavets first season as a Bear, she led the Bears with a 9-6 overall record in singles and a 5-2 record in SoCon matches. She finished the year with wins in four of her final five matches.
Quinones and Hömberg were named Second Team All-SoCon in doubles after finishing the year with a 12-6 overall record paired together. Their 12 wins were the third most by any doubles team in the SoCon and were the most by a Mercer doubles team since the 2023-24 season.
Up next for the Bears is the SoCon Tournament from Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Bears are the No. 7 seed and will play No. 2 ETSU on Thursday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. ET.
