Four Bears Vie For Nationals
Macon, Ga.—Four members of the Mercer Women's tennis team are competing in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional championship Thursday, Oct. 13-Monday, Oct. 17 on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta.
Teodora Ristic, Mary Weston Courville, Naya Tillet and Eden Schlagenhauf are competing, vying for a chance to play in the ITA National Championships Nov. 2-6 in San Diego. Singles champions, and finalists, as well as doubles champions will earn a trip to San Diego.
Tillet and Schlagenhauf will begin their competition in the qualifying draw, playing singles and doubles, starting Oct. 13. Rustic and Courville start play in the main draw on Friday Oct. 14.
Players from 17 different schools are playing in the regional tournament.
