SERIES HISTORY
This will be the second-ever meeting between the Bears and Ducks all-time. Back in February of 2019, Oregon took a 13-6 win in Eugene, which also was a season-opening contest. Hailey Rhatigan is the lone current student-athlete from that game to score in that tilt – Iseabel Cryne made 14 saves, picked up a pair of ground balls and caused a turnover against the Ducks.
SCOUTING MERCER
Rhatigan lead the Bears' offense a year ago with 61 points on 47 goals and 14 assists en route to a SoCon tournament crown and a NCAA appearance. Maddi Koury, Shannon Urey and Erin Degnan also put up over 25 points apiece to help the Mercer attack. Defensively, Rhatigan led the squad with 14 caused turnovers, closely followed by Ainsley Malamala's 13. In the draw circle, Degnan's 41 wins paced Mercer. In 12 games between the pipes, Cryne stopped 110 shots.
SCOUTING OREGON
The Ducks battled George Mason to a 14-11 win in their season opener on Feb. 12. Five consecutive goals by Oregon between the middle quarters propelled them to the win over the Patriots in Eugene. Hanna Hilcoff and Lillian Stump paced UO with a hat trick each and combined for five assists.
