Neal-Tysor Named Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second time this season, Amoria Neal-Tysor was selected as the SoCon Player of the Week, presented by GEICO.

Last week in road contests, the Sanford, N.C. native played an instrumental role in helping the Bears to wins over Wofford and Furman. In the two games, she totaled 47 points and 11 rebounds in almost 67 minutes of action in the last wins needed to clinch the regular season crown.

Neal-Tysor tallied 31 points and collected seven boards in the 74-57 win over Wofford. Her 16.0 points per game ranks her third in the league and her 400 pace the Bears.

Prior to the start of the season, she was included in the SoCon's all-conference team. The senior guard was named the Most Outstanding Player in last season's conference tournament.

Mercer will close the regular season with the Samford Bulldogs in Birmingham on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. ET.
