STATESBORO, Ga. – The Mercer women's track and field team kicked off the 2021 season at the GATA Classic hosted by Georgia Southern University.

The Bears finished first in two events, the 4x100 Meter Relay and the 400-Meter Dash. In the 100-Meter Dash, Bianca Browne placed second. Giulia Giorgi finished third in the 1500-Meter Run.

Mercer will return to action next Friday and Saturday at the UCF Black & Gold Invite in Orlando, Fla. The distance team will compete at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
