The Paladins now stand in the way for Mercer in its quest for the Championship
MACON, Ga. – Survive and advance - Mercer posted a dominant win over Western Carolina, 81-53, and will take on #2 Furman in the Southern Conference Quarterfinals on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in Asheville, N.C.

HAASE AND JONES NAMED TO ALL-SOCON TEAMS:
Mercer's Felipe Haase and Jordan Jones were both honored by the Southern Conference coaches and media as All-SoCon selections, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon. Haase received second team honors from the head coaches and the SoCon Sports Media Association (SCSMA), while Jones was named to the All-Freshman team from both groups.
MERCER IN THE SOCON TOURNAMENT:
Mercer continued its streak of making the quarterfinals each year it has been in the SoCon. Mercer topped Western Carolina, 81-53, to reach the SoCon Quarterfinals on Friday evening. The Bears will take on No. 2 Furman at 6:00 p.m.

THIS YEAR AGAINST THE PALADINS:
The Bears are looking to avenge their two previous regular season losses to the Furman Paladins in this year's Southern Conference quarterfinals. Mercer has lost to Furman by double-digits each time these two teams have faced this season. The first match-up Mercer lost 81-66 in Greenville on Jan. 8, 2022, and the second matchup was at Hawkins Arena on Jan. 29, 2022, where the Bears fell to a final score of 80-50.
