Jonsson Named All-SoCon

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Tobias Jonsson landed on the Southern Conference's All-League team following his impressive debut season in the league.

Jonsson, a sophomore, carded seven top-five finishes in nine events played, including winning the Wexford Intercollegiate in late February. Among those seven, three runner-up performances and a pair of third places.

The Huddinge, Sweden native carded a four-under-par 212 (71-71-70) in Hilton Head Island, S.C. In 27 rounds, he totaled 1889 strokes and averaged a 69.9 with a low of 64.

He was named the league's Player of the Week on two occasions: most recently in early April after shooting a 2-under 214 at the Augusta Haskins Invitational and also in late February after his win at the Wexford.
