Suffer First Loss
Troy, Ala.—For the fifth straight time this season, the Mercer women's soccer team surrendered just one goal in a game, but unfortunately for the Bears, for the first time, they were unable to overcome that goal in a 1-0 loss to Troy on Thursday.
The game had nearly an hour long weather delay with five and a half minutes remaining in the first half. There was no score at the time. Mercer had some opportunities before the official half time but couldn't convert.

The Bears return home to host North Florida on Sunday Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. For those unable to make it to Betts Stadium, the game will be available for viewing on ESPN+.

Nia Wilson finally broke through for the Trojans with a shot from about 15 yards out in the 65th minute. The loss drops the Bears to 3-1-1 on the season (0-0-0 SoCon).
