Big Week Nets Cook More Recognition

SoCon Player of the Week Again
Macon, Ga.—She did it again.
Mercer Bears women's soccer player Kendall Cook is the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for games that ended Monday Sept. 15. This is the second time Cook has earned the honor, in the four weeks it's been presented this season. Cook was also the SoCon offensive player of the month for August.
The junior midfielder from Alpharetta, Georgia, scored three goals in the Bears' 9-0 win over South Carolina State Sept. 9, and connected on a penalty kick for the game tying goal in a 2-2 draw with Georgia State Sept. 11. Cook's four goals on the week give her a team leading six goals in the Bears' seven games this season.
Not only has Cook now earned player of the week honors twice, Mercer's Jada Moorman won the honor Aug. 30, giving the Bears three recipients in the four weeks it's been given out this season.
The Bears hit the road for a game at Oklahoma State on Thursday Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
