Cross Country Travels to Final Regular Season Meet

MACON – The Mercer men's and women's cross country team will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to compete in the USC Upstate Invitational at Milliken Research Park, which will also be the location of the NCAA DI South Region Championships on November 10.

The Bears will compete in their last regular season meet before the Southern Conference Championships on October 27 in Kernersville, N.C. Seven of ten conference teams will be racing at the Upstate Invitational, so the meet will be a near preview of both the conference and region meets. With the men receiving a preseason #3 ranking and the women running personal and team records at every meet, Head Coach Josh Hayman is looking forward to the competitions.

Mercer women's team was the team winner of last year's Upstate Invitational and seeks to defend that title.

In two weeks, the Bears will head to Kernersville, N.C. for the Southern Conference Championships on October 27. The teams will return to Spartanburg for the South Regional Championship on November 10.
