
Stefanovic Gets Big Win On Day 2 Of ITA Southeast Regionals

ATLANTA – Nemanja Stefanovic used a second-set retirement to oust 69th-ranked Yassine Dlimi and advance through to the Round of 32 to highlight action for the Mercer men's tennis team on the second day of competition at the Georgia Tech-hosted ITA Southeast Regional.
Stefanovic registered the lone win of the day for the Bears, but two other matches came down to the wire. Stefanovic and Marceau Foilhoux doubles opener with Florida Gulf Coast's Hugo Magnusson and Harry Michalowski was decided via tiebreak, while Fouilhoux dropped the final singles matchup of the day for the Orange & Black via a third-set super tie break.
Mercer will continue play at the scheduled 5-day event on Saturday. Stefanovic will get things going for the Bears with a 9:30 a.m. singles matchup against Georgia's Cyrus Mahjoob.
