Quinones And Ristic Win Flights At Georgia Southern Shootout

STATESBORO, Ga. – Sophomore Marina de Diego Quinones and senior Teodora Ristic each won their flights on Sunday for the Mercer women's tennis team at the Georgia Southern Fall Shootout.

Sunday's action was the semifinals and finals in singles and doubles. De Diego Quinones defeated ETSU's Jana Rovira by 6-0 and 7-5 scores in the finals. Meanwhile Ristic defeated Ralitsa Alexandrova of ETSU 6-3, 6-2 to win her flight.

It marks the second consecutive tournament that Ristic has won her flight after winning at last week's Mercer Gridiron Classic.

In doubles action, Marina de Diego Quinones and Tea Zivic defeated Georgia State's Sara Radojevic and Luciana Galvez, 6-3.
