MACON, GA. –The Mercer Bears would fight until the end of the match, drawing UNCG 1-1 at UNCG Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday, October 21.

Mercer moves to 5-3-7 on the season and 1-1-2 in Southern Conference play, while UNCG moves to 1-9-5 on the season, and 0-2-2 in Southern Conference play. The first half would have many opportunities for both the Bears and the Spartans, however, the Bears would find the back of the net off a corner kick in the 10th minute. Carlos Santamaria would find the head of Nick Wanzer, giving the Bears a 1-0 lead. This would be the only goal of the first half. However, in the 65th minute the Spartans would score the equalizer. The Bears had many opportunities in the closing minutes of the game but could not find the back of the net.
