MACON – The Bears came out fierce on Friday, defeating ETSU in three sets. The final set was one of the closest of the season, with 11 ties and six lead changes, but the Bears would not give up a sweep on their home court tonight.
Sets one and two ended in the same score, but play in set two was a bit of a different story. The Bears did not allow the Bucs to take a lead and only allowed two ties, with the last at 2-2. Mykole Morgan was second on the team in kills for the match, with two of those coming at a crucial time--the last two points of the match, giving the Bears the win in the toughest set.Â
The Bears host Furman on October 7 at 6 p.m. in Macon.
