MACON – Mercer women's tennis head coach Eric Hayes announced an addition to his recruiting crop on Tuesday when Serbia product Jelena Gojkovic inked her name to a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career with the Bears.

An active participant on the ITF and WTA circuits, Gojkovic has been ranked as high as No. 827 in the ITF world singles rankings, and has finished in the runner-up spot in a handful of singles and doubles tournament on the ITF circuit. She recently split a pair of matches at the Kursumlijska Banja 13 event in mid-September, ousting 10th-seeded Hana Djedovic, before dropping a touch match with fourth-seeded Jana Stojanova of Bulgaria.
She also registered a pair of wins earlier this year at the Kursumlijska Banja 10 tournament in June, including a three-set triumph over fellow Serbian Anastasija Radojevic.
