Men's Basketball Hosts Talladega for Final Game of Non-Conference Play

MACON – The Mercer men's basketball (6-6) team returns to Hawkins Arena for the final game of 2023 and non-conference play. The Bears will host Talladega College (11-1) who is on a nine-game winning streak heading into Friday's matchup. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
Fans who arrive before 1:30 p.m. will receive free entry. The Bears will hit the road next week for conference games at East Tennessee State and VMI.

| Mercer defeated Thomas 98-75 to win its fourth game in a row, scoring more points than any other game this season and pulling down more offensive rebounds in one game in over a decade. Every Mercer player scored, including two freshmen who played their first minutes of the season. Five different Bears scored in double digits, and five players secured six rebounds. |
| SCOUTING REPORT |
| Talladega's win streak dates back to its lone loss of the 2023-24 campaign – a 53-51 setback at conference rival Miles on November 11. Four of Talladega's last nine wins have been decided by two possessions or less. Most recently, the Tornadoes defeated conference rival Wiley College 70-63. |
