MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's basketball program has another away game lined up for Wednesday, February 15 at 7 p.m. against Wofford. Both teams are currently 5-9 in the Southern Conference vying for crucial seeding in the conference tournament.

Wofford leads the all-time series with Mercer, 32-25, after sinking a last-second shot against the Bears in January to win, 53-52. The series is tied 4-4 during head coach Greg Gary's tenure. The average scoring margin since the start of the 2019-20 campaign is 5.5 points, including four games decided by three points or less.
SCOUTING WOFFORD
Wofford earned a marquee win over league-leaders Samford, 85-77, at the end of January. Since then, the Terriers have lost four-straight to ETSU, Furman, Western Carolina, and UNCG. The past two games for Wofford have required overtime to determine a winner.
The Terriers have the second-best field goal percentage in the SoCon at 47.4%. Two players rank in the top 10 in scoring in the conference with B.J. Mack in third with 16.2 PPG and Jackson Paveletzke in ninth with 14.8 PPG. Paveletzke is very consistent from the charity stripe, going 100-for-118 (84.7%) this season.
RECENT ACTION
The Bears dropped a road contest against Chattanooga, 73-56, on Saturday after being outscored 40-18 in the second half. Mercer was successful offensively in many aspects in the first half, scoring seven treys and going 87.5% from the free throw line, but hit a skid after the first three minutes of the second period.
Jalyn McCreary led the Bears in scoring with 16 points in his 23rd game scoring in double figures this season. Shawn Walker Jr. snagged a season-high five rebounds which tied for the team-lead with Luis Hurtado Jr.
