JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Mercer women's tennis program (6-5) was defeated, 7-0, by Jacksonville State (8-2) on Wednesday morning.
Eden Schlagenhauf and Camilla Ciaccia teamed up for a doubles win on court two, but neither of the other Mercer pairs won to earn the point. This was the fourth-straight doubles win for Schlagenhauf/Ciaccia and the eighth overall this season for the duo.
In singles, Mary Weston Courville forced her match to three sets after dropping the first 6-4 but winning the second 6-4. Romane Mosse edged Courville in the third set to claim the point for JSU.
UP NEXT: Mercer's match against Georgia originally scheduled for Sunday has been postponed. A new date will be announced at a later time. The Bears will open Southern Conference play on Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m. against Chattanooga.
