SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the seventh all-time meeting between Mercer and Gardner-Webb. The Bears have won all six of the previous meetings.

LAST TIME OUT
Shannon Urey scored six goals including the 100^th in her career and goalie Kate Vanderlinde was stout in goal as Mercer defeated East Carolina 13-8 last Saturday.

In the first ever meeting between the two programs, East Carolina erased a four-goal deficit to tie the game at eight. However, the Bears closed the game on a 5-0 run to grab the non-conference road win.

Mercer put 20 of its 24 shots on goal for a .833 shots on goal percentage and the Bears had a 20-17 shots on goal advantage.

Urey had her third six goal game of the season, including her 100^th career goal to lead the Bears offensively.

Erin Degnan had two goals and one assist for a three-point outing. She also had a team-high six draw controls.

Kate Vanderlinde was excellent in goal for the Bears, making nine saves to go with a .529 save percentage.

SCOUTING GARDNER-WEBB
Gardner-Webb enters Wednesday's game with a 1-7 record with its lone winning coming against Akron. The Runnin' Bulldogs were picked preseason to finish sixth in the 10-team conference.

Gardner-Webb has allowed at least 10 goals in all eight of their games this season and has allowed the most goals this season among Big South teams as opponents average 18.13 goals per game against the Runnin' Bulldogs.

Gardner-Webb is averaging 9.00 goals per game, fourth most in the Big South. The Runnin' Bulldogs don't take many shots as they rank last in the league in shots (20.88) and shots on goal (15.00) per game.

Gardner-Webb's leading goal scorer is midfielder Brittany Sherrod who has 14 goals on the season. Attacker Jada Preston leads the team with 21 points (7G, 14A).

Gardner-Webb's starting goalie Danielle Burke, has an 18.13 goals against average and a .372 save percentage.
