Women’s Tennis Named No. 4 Seed for SoCon Championships

MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's tennis program secured the No. 4 seed for the Southern Conference Championships and will face No. 5 Chattanooga in the first round on Thursday, April 20 at 1 p.m. at the Champions Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is the highest seeding the Bears have earned since 2017.
Mercer faced Chattanooga for its first conference match of the season in March, and the Bears won 5-2 behind wins in the top three singles flights. The two teams have previously matched up in the SoCon tournament once as the Mocs won in the 2018 quarterfinals.

Match 2: No. 4 Mercer vs. No. 5 Chattanooga, 1 p.m.

Match 4: No. 2 ETSU vs. No. 7 Western Carolina, 3 p.m.
