Dubnik And Järvelä Remain In Top 10 After Second Round At NGI

Järvelä had best round of day for Mercer with 1-over 73
MARICOPA, Ariz. - Mikayla Dubnik and Camilla Järvelä each remain in the top 10 after the second round of the NGI Tournament at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.
Dubnik is tied for fourth place after shooting a 4-over 76 in the second round Saturday. For the tournament she is even-par and six shots back of leader Michelle Cox of Penn State.
Järvelä had the best second round for Mercer with a 1-over 73, moving up from ninth to seventh place through 36 holes. Järvelä is one shot back of Dubnik for the tournament as she is 1-over par through two rounds.
Dubnik and Järvela have been good on par 3's so far in the tournament as Dubnik is even and Järvela 1-over on par 3's through two rounds.
Mercer was in fourth place after the first round and the Bears remain in fourth after the second round. In the second round on Saturday the Bears shot 12-over 300, the third best round among the 10 teams competing. The Bears (+17) are eight shots off the leaders, Penn State who is 9-over par for the tournament. Mercer is just three shots back of second place Santa Clara who is 14-over on the team leaderboard.
Mercer leads the field by a wide margin on par 4's as the Bears are 11-over for the tournament on par 4's. The next closest team is UC Riverside who is 18-over on par 4's.
