Women's Soccer Receives United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

MACON, Ga. – Head coach Tony Economopoulos and the 2022-23 women's soccer team were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as 2022-2023 Collegiate Team Academic Award winners.Â
The 2022 team maintained a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.43 for the 2022-23 academic year.
A total of 801 soccer teams (307 men, 494 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2022-23 academic year. Of that total, 179 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized. Both Mercer men's and women's soccer programs received the award.
The women's soccer team returns to the pitch Sunday, August 20 at 1 p.m. as they take on Mississippi Valley State at Betts Stadium.
