Men's Basketball Continues Road Trip At The Citadel

MACON – The Bears (8-11,1-5) will play their second of three straight road games on Wednesday at The Citadel (8-11, 0-6). Head Coach Greg Gary has only lost one game to the Bulldogs in his time leading Mercer. Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m.
The most recent matchup between the squads was in the first round of last season's SoCon tournament in Asheville, N.C. The Bears won in a 66-41 blowout to advance to the second round. Mercer also defeated The Citadel in the regular season finale, making the tournament game the second win over the team in 11 days.

| The Citadel is on a six-game losing streak heading into Wednesday's game. The team defeated Notre Dame by 20 in South Bend in December. The Citadel ranked ninth in both the media and coaches preseason Southern Conference polls, and the Bulldogs have not won a conference matchup thus far. Four players from The Citadel are averaging double-digit scoring, led by AJ Smith. He logs 15.8 points per game and 4.1 rebounds. |
