Men's Basketball Returns To Macon For Rematch With ETSU

MACON – The Mercer men's basketball team (9-12,2-6) returns to Macon for the first home game in two weeks on Wednesday against ETSU (10-11, 2-6 SoCon). The Buccaneers took the first meeting of the squads this season by 11 points at the beginning of this month.
Wednesday's game will be streamed on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. This is the first of three straight home games for the team.

| Mercer pulled off a big win on Saturday against UNC Greensboro, who then sat at the top of the SoCon and at No. 17 in the mid-major poll. The Bears led all but three minutes of the game. MU matched a season-low seven turnovers and scored 15 points off of 13 turnovers by UNCG. The win broke UNCG's 11-game home win streak. |
| SCOUTING REPORT |
| ETSU and Mercer enter Wednesday's matchup with identical conference records. Both teams defeated VMI, but the Bucs did so only by one point, and the Bears dominated the Keydets by 22. ETSU's Jaden Seymour and Ebby Asamoah are both averaging 15.2 points to lead the team in scoring. In the team's three-point loss to Samford on Saturday, the Bucs came within one with five minutes remaining but let the gap open back up to nine four minutes later. A back-to-back 3-pointer and fast-break jumper gave the Bucs a chance, but a missed free throw gave the Bulldogs the ball to end the game. |
