Beach Volleyball Begins Season At Stetson Spring Fling

MACON – Mercer opens the 2024 Beach Volleyball season when it travels to DeLand, Fla., to take part in the Stetson Spring Fling hosted by the Hatters. The two-day event begins Friday and features five programs. Â

The Bears take on the hosts to open the tournament at 8 a.m., before concluding their first day against Florida Gulf Coast at 2 p.m. Mercer then opens their second day against Eckerd College at 8 a.m. and wraps up the weekend against Sun Belt Conference foe Southern Miss at 2 p.m.. Â

The Mercer roster features a wealth of experience, including Kate Hardie and Nicole O'Mara who went on a 13-0 run last season to set a school record. The veteran lineup includes 13 returnees to go along with a trio of freshmen. Â

The Bears look to build off last season's performance which saw them post their second-highest win total in program history. Â
