2/6/2024 2:02:00 PM | Men's Basketball
MACON – The Mercer men's basketball team (10-13, 3-7) will meet Furman (12-11, 6-4) for the first time this season. Tipoff will be at 7 p.m. in Hawkins Arena and will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Bears are fresh off of a big home win over VMI where Jalyn McCreary put up 30 points. The Paladins narrowly lost to UNC Greensboro, led by Marcus Foster with 26 points and JP Pegues with 25. Mercer has only beaten Furman once since Head Coach Bob Richey took the reins in Greenville, but last year's MU squad came within three points of doing so. Then-freshman Jah Quinones tallied 12 points in the game, including a clutch layup in the final minute of play.
