MACON, Ga. - In a matchup of two the three remaining unbeaten teams in conference play, the Mercer women's lacrosse travels to take on the Furman Paladins Wednesday night in Greenville, South Carolina.

SERIES HISTORY
Wednesday will be the 13th all-time meeting between Mercer and Furman. The two teams have split their first 12 meetings with each team winning six. Mercer won last year's game in Macon, 18-13.
LAST TIME OUT
Kayla Soltys had 16 draw controls and Gabby DiVirgilio scored five times as the Mercer Bears rolled to a 25-3 win at home over Gardner-Webb last Wednesday.
The Bears were in control from the start and never looked back. Mercer had a season high 47 shots to Gardner-Webb's 11.
Mercer had its best performance in the draw circle this season as the Bears won 25 of 31 draw controls in the game. Soltys highlighted the performance in the draw circle with a single-game program record, 16 draw controls.
SCOUTING FURMAN
Furman enters Wednesday's game looking to remain unbeatedn in Big South play. The Paladins are 5-7 overall and 3-0Â in Big South play.
The Paladins are riding a three-game winning streak entering the contest after a 17-6 road victory last Saturday at Presbyterian. Furman forced Presbyterian into 12 turnovers and held a 15-10 advantage in draws and 13-11 in ground balls. The Paladins won 10 of the 12 draws in the first half.
Furman has limited its first three conference opponents to 10 goals or less. The Paladins average 11.8 goals per game and allow 14.5 per game. They average the third most draw controls per game in the conference at 14.5 per game.
Offensively, Furman is led by preseason All-Conference unior attacker Anna Roser who has a team best 45 points and 39 goals on the year. Roser's 3.25 goals per game are second most in the Big South.Â
Furman also has the Preseason Big South Defensive Player of the Year in senior Katelyn Sousa. Sousa is second on the team with 21 ground balls and third in caused turnovers with nine.
