Mercer Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

INDIANAPOLIS – The Mercer track & field team continued a long-standing tradition for itself on Thursday morning when the Bears were named an all-academic team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The announcement marked the fifth-straight year that the Orange & Black has picked up the honor that is awarded to men's and women's track squads that registered a 3.0 cumulative team grade point average during a given season. Mercer's track & field student-athletes combined to register a 3.465 team GPA during the 2023-24 academic year.

Mercer was one of just four Southern Conference teams recognized by the USTFCCA as an all-academic team for the 2023-24 season. The Bears joined Furman, UNC Greensboro and Wofford on the distinguished listing.
