MACON, Ga. - The Mercer women's soccer program plays its first away conference game of the season on Sunday at Western Carolina. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's game will mark the 14th all-time meeting between Mercer and Western Carolina. Mercer lead the series 8-5-0. Last year, the two teams met in Macon where Western Carolina scored two second half goals to come back and win, 2-1.
LAST TIME OUT
Freshman Hayden Lepley's goal in the 71st minute helped the Bears earn a point in a tightly contested game between Mercer and Furman in the SoCon opener, as the game ended in a 1-1 tie after 90 minutes last Thursday.
SCOUTING WESTERN CAROLINA
Western Carolina enters Sunday's game with the same record as Mercer 6-2-2. The Catamounts are coming off a 2-0 win over Samford on Thursday.
After winning the SoCon regular season and conference tournament titles last year, Western Carolina was picked to repeat as SoCon champions in the Coaches Preseason Poll.
Western Carolina is unbeaten in its last seven games and has shutout each of its last six opponents. Through 10 games, Western Carolina has scored 23 goals and allowed a conference best seven goals all season.
Reigning SoCon Offensive Player of the Week Milla Syska looks to continue her streak of strong play. Syska has recorded a goal in three straight games, including game-winners against Presbyterian and Samford. Syska is second in the conference behind Larkin Thomason with seven goals on the season. In addition to Syska, junior forward Isabella DeMarco is also one of the best players in the SoCon as she was named the SoCon Player of the Year last season.
The Catamount backline has produced strong results in recent weeks, holding its opposition to an average of 7.14 shots per game during their seven match undefeated streak. They are also conceding only three shots on goal per game.
