Bears Sweep Runners Of The Week Awards

MACON - Yianni Pothalakis and Reagan Cooke have received Southern Conference Runners of the Week honors for their standout performances at the Julius Johnson Invitational on Sept. 21.
Mercer hosted the meet at the Georgia Premier Cross Country Course in Macon this past weekend.
Pothalakis finished second in the men's 8K with a time of 24:11.13, a personal best for the Suwanee native. The junior's time helped lead the men's team to a first place finish. For the women's team, Reagan Cooke finished in first-place with a time of 17:49.11 in the 5K. The freshman recorded a personal best and led the women's team to a first place finish.
The Bears are back in action on Oct. 5 at the Live in Lou Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.
