Preseason Big South Favorites Women's Lacrosse Has Three Players Selected To Preseason All-Conference Team

Abby Soltys, Ansley Walters and Caroline Glus named to preseason All-Conference Team
The Bears also had three players named to the Preseason All-Conference Team in junior attacker Caroline Glus, senior defender Abby Soltys and sophomore midfielder Ansley Walters. Mercer's three All-Conference selections are second most to High Point in the Big South.
Soltys was also named the Preseason Big South Defensive Player of the Year and Walters was named the Preseason Big South Midfielder of the Year.
The Preseason All-Conference Team is comprised of 13 total players consisting of three attackers, three midfielders, three defenders, one goalie, and three at-large selections.
Mercer will rely on Glus and Soltys - who were named team captains - as experienced leaders on the team on offense and defense. After an outstanding freshman season, Walters will look to pick up where she left off as one of the most dominant midfielders in the conference. The Bears will look to continue the great success of the program in 2025 as the Bears will look to win their fourth consecutive Big South Championship.
All three players had standout seasons in 2024 as all three players were named Second Team All-Conference and Walters was named the Big South Freshman of the Year.
