Bears Head To Greenville For Midweek Conference Battle

MACON, Ga. - The Mercer volleyball team will make the trip to Greenville, S.C. to face the Furman Paladins in a Thursday night match up.

The Bears look to pick up their first win of conference play after falling to ETSU and Chattanooga on opening weekend. Sophomore outside hitter Sophia Henry currently leads the Mercer offense with 137 kills on the season. Junior middle blocker Avery Wilks has been unstoppable at the net with 84 kills and 40 total blocks. Sammi Bergjans and Jessica Dunn have split time at the setter position registering a total of 410 assists. Sophomore libero Aubri Martin continues to be the glue in the back row for the Bears with 219 digs.

The Paladins are off to a hot start on the 2025 season with an overall record of 11-3 with a conference record of 2-0. Furman defeated UNC Greensboro and Samford 3-1 and 3-0, respectively, on opening weekend of conference play.

First serve is set for 6 p.m. inside Alley Gymnasium and will be streamed on ESPN+.
