
Nutzman Named To TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 Freshmen List

MACON, Ga. – Mercer women's soccer midfielder Payton Nutzman has been ranked as the 38th best freshman in the country according to TopDrawerSoccer's Midseason Top 100 Freshmen listing, as announced by the publication last weekend.
A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Nutzman has had a fantastic freshmen season before suffering a season ending injury on October 5 at VMI.Â
She currently leads the team in assists, is tied for the team lead in points and is second on the team in goals. In 13 games, Nutzman had seven goals and five assists for 19 points. Her five assists are tied for the second most in the SoCon and her 19 points are tied for fifth most in the conference.
Nutzman scored her first career goal and hat trick at Alabama State on August 31. She had three games this season with at least one goal and one assist.
