Mercer leads the all-time series 1-0-0. The last only prior meeting between the two teams was last season in Macon when the Bears won 1-0 on a goal from Maria Karipidis.

Payton Nutzman scored two first half goals to lift Mercer to a 2-1 win over Jackson State on Wednesday from Jackson, Mississippi in the season opener.
SCOUTING WEST GEORGIA
West Georgia enters the 2026 campaign looking to build on the progress it made last year in what was just its second Division I season while beginning a new chapter as a member of the United Athletic Conference. Under third year head coach Mallory Sayre, the Wolves return eight starters from last season's team that finished 4-13-2 overall, but doubled the program's win total from its inaugural Division I season.

Leading the returning group is senior midfielder Noemi Casique who led the Wolves with four goals and eight points in 2025. She picked up where she left off in West Georgia's season opener on Wednesday at Jacksonville State, scoring the team's lone goal in a 1-1 draw.
Sophomore goalkeeper Emily Sanabria anchored the Wolves defensively in their season opener. Sanabria recorded 12 saves against Jacksonville State, setting a new West Georgia Division I record for saves in a season opener. Sanabria made 17 starts in goal for the Wolves last year.
